Meet the Founder
Jordan Smith, PharmD is a pharmacist, leader, and advocate committed to shaping the future of healthcare by expanding what comes after the prescription.
Throughout her career, Jordan has worked across pharmacy and community-based settings, gaining firsthand insight into both the extraordinary potential of the pharmacy profession and the structural limitations that prevent many professionals from fully stepping into leadership, innovation, and impact. She has seen how these gaps affect not only pharmacy professionals, but also the communities they serve — particularly those facing inequities in access, health literacy, and trusted care.
Jordan is deeply committed to supporting underserved communities where pharmacists are uniquely positioned to bridge gaps in care, education, and connection. Her work is grounded in the belief that pharmacists are more than medication experts — they are essential leaders in community health, equity, and system-level change.
The Next Dose Foundation was created from this lived experience. Jordan founded the organization to ensure pharmacists, pharmacy students, technicians, and emerging healthcare leaders have the support, resources, and confidence to design innovative care models, build meaningful careers and businesses, and create lasting community impact.
As Founder and Executive Director, Jordan provides strategic leadership, program oversight, and long-term vision for the Foundation, ensuring all initiatives remain mission-driven, accountable, and aligned with the evolving needs of the profession. Her work bridges leadership development, entrepreneurship, and community advocacy — rooted in the belief that when healthcare professionals are supported, communities thrive.
